    you need a better brand of food colouring if you have a high quality food store they should have it

    The above recipe but it turned out fuchsia instead of red help.

    Ingredients
    3 ⅓ cups cake flour ¾ cup (1 ½ sticks) unsalted butter 2 ¼ cups sugar
    3 large eggs 6 tblspn red food coloring 3 tblspn unsweetened cocoa
    1 ½ tspn vanilla extract 1 ½ tspn salt 1 ½ cups buttermilk 1 ½ tspn cider vinegar
    1 ½ tspn baking soda Frosting: 1 pound (two 8-ounce packages) cream cheese
    6 tblspn unsalted butter 1 ½ tspn vanilla extract 5 cups sifted confectioners sugar
